Over Rs. 15 million in foreign currency was recovered by the Customs Department during two operations at Karachi Airport

According to officials, a passenger who was flying through Dubai from Karachi to Indonesia had 27,000 US dollars retrieved. The Indonesian had concealed the money in his backpack while traveling on airline FZ 332. In the second operation, 95,000 Saudi riyals were retrieved from a passenger on a flight from Karachi to Dammam, according to customs officials. On Gulf Air aircraft GF751, a passenger by the name of Muhammad Irfanullah was en route to Dammam.
Additionally, the Dammam traveler concealed Saudi cash in his backpack. Customs employees on shift one at Departures handled both processes. Only $5,000 or its equivalent may be taken from Pakistan by tourists. Passengers carrying more than $5,000 are subject to action, according to customs officers.
