Over 900 People Played Monopoly Together in Australia, Set New World Record

Sydney: In Australia, an interesting scene unfolded when 918 people came together to play the famous board game Monopoly simultaneously. The event was held across 150 tables and set a new Guinness World Record for the most people playing Monopoly at the same time.

This record-breaking attempt was jointly organized in Sydney by the charity ‘Little Legs Foundation’ and the parents of 6-year-old Allegra, who passed away from brain cancer in 2017. The aim of the event was to raise funds for childhood brain cancer and to spread awareness about the disease.

Allegra’s mother, Sue Ellen Vassiliou, speaking to Guinness World Record representatives, said that they wanted to create a place where young and old could come together and celebrate something everyone could be proud of. It was also their wish to raise awareness about brain cancer among all people through this event.

It has been reported that the previous record was held by 733 people playing Monopoly together. This new event has left that old record far behind.

This news is written in simple language for the general public, and its headline is also short, clear, and accurate.
