Pakistan accuses Indian-backed terrorism and calls for international action after a school bus attack in Khuzdar

Initial reports state that the suicide terrorist attack on an Army Public School bus in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan, which left six people dead—including four innocent children—and fifty-two injured, has left Pakistanis in mourning and despair and has sparked alarm among high-value human circles worldwide. It would be beneficial in the current South Asian war situation if the United Nations were perceived as being more involved in peace initiatives and significant international nations could contribute to preventing the situation from getting worse by employing covert communication and other strategies.

According to details, a bus from the Army Public School in Khuzdar was struck by a tiny car early on Wednesday morning and detonated with over 30 kg of explosives; as a result, the bus overturned and caught fire. The youngsters were saved when security guards and aid workers arrived on the scene. A helicopter was used to transport the 14 injured children to Quetta. Two army soldiers are also among the martyrs, according to remarks made by the Corps Commander in Quetta and the Chief Minister of Balochistan. While Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir made an emergency visit to Quetta, the world community—including the US, China, and the UN—continues to denounce this act of terrorism.

The Prime Minister’s and the Army Chief’s remarks underscore the urgent need for the country to fully exhibit the strong resolve recently displayed against Indian aggression and to see the war against foreign-backed terrorism through to its logical and decisive conclusion. The National Assembly’s opposition and government members’ opinions prior to the resolution denouncing Khuzdar terrorism gave the idea that India and terrorists are comparable. However, the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson’s denunciation of the Khuzdar event and seeming disregard for it differs from New Delhi’s stance after a number of significant acts of terrorism, such as the Jaffar Express attack.

Nonetheless, a number of newly discovered facts demonstrate that without Indian assistance, the terrible catastrophe at the Army Public School in Peshawar could not have happened again. Following the recent instances of Indian military aggression, some groups, including security sources, expressed concern that Indian-sponsored terrorism might occur in Pakistan in an attempt to discredit India for its recent campaigns and the Modi government’s lofty promises. However, it was not anticipated that the adversary would target defenseless children given the state of world public opinion at the time.

Without a doubt, a number of terrorist plots, including the one to assault the Masroor Air Base, have been thwarted as a result of the military institutions’ constant attention to the security of the nation’s major cities and other key locations. While Islamabad has crucial evidence in the form of videos showing orders to the terrorist group operating from India to carry out mass murder, statements made by the ringleader Kulbhushan Jadhav, who is currently in Pakistani custody, and the terror network contractor Majeed Lakho, who was arrested this month, and his associates, it is also a fact that terrorists are given opportunities to strike. In this situation, the significance of diplomatic efforts cannot be disputed, but security and intelligence issues demand more attention.
