Suggestion to fix minimum wage of labourers to Rs 40,000

The Standing Committee on Finance in the Senate has decided that the minimum wage of the laborers should be Rs 40,000 per month. The Senate committee meeting was attended by Saleem Mandvi wala, Farooq H. Naik etc and they said that the minimum wage of the laborers should be Rs 40,000 in a month.
In the debate about the Finance bill, Chairman Committee Saleem Mandviwala emphasized that under the authority granted to the FBR officers, money laundering cases will be registered and businesses will be shut. Farooq Naik insisted that notices of money laundering should be put under the sanction of Chairman FBR.
In the conference, the Chairman FBR recognized that 95 percent of Pakistan population cannot afford to pay taxes. He noted that there are just 5 percent people who are wealthy whose taxes are supposed to stand at 1,700 billion, but they contribute to just 499 billion.
