India Attacks Pakistan with 25 Drone Strikes: Growing Tensions Cause Concern About Regional Stability Around the World

On the evening of May 7–8, India once more turned to open aggression, launching 25 drone strikes throughout Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, and Karachi, among other locations. This demonstrates unequivocally its intention to heighten tension. Four members of the Pakistan Army were hurt when a drone in Lahore managed to destroy a military facility. One person was killed and another injured in Mianwali, Sindh, as a result of drone operations. Explosions were reported from several locations during the day. Initial reports state that 12 Herop drones were shot down by Pakistani military troops.

As the National Security Committee’s decision, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s speech in the National Assembly, his subsequent address to the country, and Pakistan Army Spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif’s press conference all warned that India’s aggression in Pakistani territory on the intervening night of Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7, would be met with a “strong response,” the situation is growing more tense. In the past, India has used brutal tragedies to get over all of its internal problems, including its own, and then blamed Pakistan for them, which strained relations with other countries. 31 innocent citizens, including innocent children, were martyred as a result of the mishap it caused during the intervening nights of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thousands of lives were at risk, mosques were martyred, the Holy Quran and sacred texts were desecrated, and the Nawsari Dam, which is close to the Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project, was targeted. The leaders of New Delhi have not produced any proof of the terrorism that India used as an excuse for its violent response. However, the world watched the Indian missile and air attacks and firing on the Line of Control in Pakistan. Every drop of the martyrs’ blood would be accounted for, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, indicating how any government would respond to such a significant atrocity against its nation.

The sentiments of the entire country are reflected in the prime minister’s homage to the professionalism, readiness, sense of responsibility, and spirit of giving their lives for the country. He claimed that India had attacked us in the middle of the night, but that the Pakistan Army had responded appropriately, transforming the pitch-black night into a moonlit one. He claimed that although care was used, our Shaheens, which destroyed five jets, could have destroyed ten more. This reflects Pakistan’s belief that it should avoid needless adventurism rather than be careless in its defense.

The fact that the National Security Committee grants the armed forces authorization and complete authority to react against India in light of this background, foreground, and mindset amply demonstrates the confidence that our armed forces are ready and prepared to defend the motherland at any time. Pakistan is fully entitled to defend itself at any time, location, and in any way. Meanwhile, the events of Wednesday and Thursday night have impeded the US, UK, Russia, China, UAE, Japan, France, and Turkey’s attempts to ease tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi.
